Discovery & Research
Grounding the work in what’s already known, reviewing existing research and data, and identifying what worked, what didn’t, and why. Where needed, I supplement this with guerrilla testing or quick user interviews to uncover key pain points and opportunities.

Collaborative Workshops & Usability Testing
I facilitate workshops with PMs, stakeholders, marketers, and developers to align on goals, define success, and co-create ideas. I develop early hypotheses around user behaviour and validate them through user testing. By exploring concepts through design jams and iterative testing, I ensure feedback is continuously integrated, keeping the work relevant, data-informed, and user-focused.

[ AUG 2022 - JUNE 2025]
MID LEVEL USER EXPERIENCE DESIGNER
As the Ecommerce Product Designer Lead for Dan Murphy’s eCommerce campaigns, I led end-to-end UX for major promotional initiatives across two business squads. I introduced design-led thinking into previously non-design-focused teams, embedding UX processes, user-centered methods, and iterative ways of working to lift both experience quality and business outcomes. Championed design practices: data analysis, user testing, design jams, stakeholder workshops, and CRO collaboration. Data-driven: Partnered with analytics and CRO teams to improve interaction-to-conversion rates. Cross-platform: Delivered consistent experiences across desktop, mobile, and app within AEM constraints. 🛠 Tools: Figma, AEM, Miro, Adobe Analytics, plus AI tools for creative support and design chapter engagement.

from the people who i have worked with

[ 2025 ]
I had the pleasure of working extremely closely with Clarissa for several years during our time at Dan Murphy’s, and I can honestly say she is one of the most talented and dedicated UX designers I’ve ever worked with! Clarissa brought an exceptional level of thoughtfulness and attention to detail to every project and campaign. Whether we were working on complex customer journeys or refining micro-interactions, her work was consistently clear and user-focused. Her ability to anticipate user needs and translate business goals into seamless experiences made a tangible difference to our customers. She played a key role in our Tier A campaigns, including major moments like Christmas and Father’s Day, where the stakes and traffic were always high. Thanks to her thoroughness and customer centric approach, those campaigns were exceptional from a UX perspective, which is no small feat in a fast-paced retail environment. On top of her professional talents, Clarissa is an absolute dream to work with. Collaborative, thoughtful, and just a genuinely kind human!!

Clarissa has been a thoughtful, creative force in our fast-paced and often reactive eCommerce environment. A quiet achiever, she consistently delivered meaningful outcomes—even while navigating shifting priorities and evolving business goals. She played a key role in leading UX for high-stakes retail campaigns on danmurphys.com.au, including Father’s Day, Christmas and Australia Day. She also guided the team through a critical platform transition to AEM—helping shift our focus from bespoke campaign designs to a more consistent and measurable experience. Clarissa brings a calm, considered approach to her work. She is data-led and presents her ideas with clarity and purpose. Within cross-functional initiatives—such as our Governance and Process working group—she made insightful contributions that helped shape more efficient ways of working across the broader team.

Clarissa spent her time with us embedded in the fast-paced, high-stakes environment of the Dan Murphy’s eCommerce team — leading UX across major trade campaigns like Father’s Day, Australia Day, and the all-important Christmas period. Working across two squads, multiple product categories, and a highly data-led roadmap, she consistently delivered meaningful outcomes while juggling shifting priorities, tight timelines, and plenty of strong opinions. She was the first and only UX Designer in that space, yet had immediate impact — helping shape how the team approached campaign work through a more data-driven and user-centred lens. Clarissa also played a critical role during the team’s transition to a new AEM platform, helping shift the mindset from simply "how things look" to the broader experience and value those experiences bring to customers and the business. Any team would benefit from her thoughtful approach, strong UX capability, and her subtle but steady leadership.
